Since the Munduvellampatti was dominanted by Gounders (dominant caste people) they were irritated on the posters of Arunthathiyar revolution meetings and had organized a village meeting on this regard on 16.02.2021 around 8 pm. As Thilai Nathan came home from his work and came to the tea shop and was standing near the village meeting place.

As the meeting was organized on the temple grounds at 8.00 pm and about 100 people of Gounders and Arunthathiyar gathered at the panchayat meeting.
