A poor Dalit labourer residing in the upper caste colony was murdered by a Brahmin on 30 January 2016 because they wanted to pressurize to leave the upper caste colony. The poor labourer resisted so he was shot dead on January 30 by his upper caste neighbour.

In this case the local police did not register the case under the SC/ST Act just to deny his survivors to avail of benefits under the SC/ST Act. However, after great efforts the sections of SC/ST Act were inserted in the Charge Sheet filed in the Court. In this Case to the main accused has not yet been arrested by the police and on the contrary supporters of the accused everyday terrorize and threatening the poor Dalit family members of Mr. Lekh Raj.
