Madiga Srinivas, s/o Kistaiah SC Madiga by caste is a resident of Chenvelli village, Chevella Manadal, Rangareddy Dt. He worked as a Tractor driver for Ediga Veerender Gowd until last year. Last summer he demanded to increase the salary and Veerendar Gowd did so. Later Srinivas got a better opportunity, he left from Veerendar Gowd.

Later Alur Raju s/o Pochaiah joined as driver at Ediga Veerendar Gowd. After some time Raju too left Veerendar Gowd and by that time he was due to Raju a sum of Rs 1100/- . Several times Raju pleaded about the amount but in vain. Later Veerendar Gowd stopped answering to the phone calls of Raju. Raju informed the matter to Srinivas and contacted Veerendar Gowd through Srinivas’s phone and he agreed to pay the amount on 30/3/2015 by evening. On the afternoon of 30th March Raju came to Srinivas and requested for his bike. They both went nearer to the house of Veerender Gowd and were waiting for him. In the meantime Veerender Gowd came, and abused Srinivas in the name of caste pulled him down and beat him up. He scolded with filthy language saying ‘Madiga munda koduka,Lanja koduka’ and beat him with stones. People nearby intervened and send them away. Srinivas questioned Veerender why he has beaten him unnecessarily. Veerendar said that he has been spoiling the drivers and instigating them to demand more. While Srinivas was on his way to complain in the police station, again Veerender came on his tractor and bet him. On the same night i.e on 30th April Srinivas lodged a complaint in Chevella PS. The police did not register the case and entertained Veerender Gowd and his family members for compromise. DSS raised the incident in Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting of Ranga Reddy District on 2nd April and got the case registered on the same day i.e. 2nd April 2015 at Chevella PS U/s. 324 of IPC and 3 (1) (x) of SC, ST (PoA) Act.

• Met the SP of Ranga Reddy District and DSP-Chevella

• Raised the incident in DVMC and got assurance for registration of case from the District Collector
