ATM Process Overview


Caste atrocity incidence can be reported through text to ATM system typing Keyword ATM (Your Message) and send to 9558777787, the text message will automatically be forwarded to Mobile number of Dalit Human Rights Defender (DHRD) registered from respective State. Once incident is verified by DHRD or State partner registered organization, they can log in onto ATM system for approving text message and with the approval through their dashboard; the atrocity information will appear on homepage of the website. The diagram below explains the process of information exchange between different stakeholders during this process:

The DHRD or organization after conducting fact finding of atrocity incident, prepares a report. On basis of that report, the registered user can create a new case from his dashboard after log in onto ATM system. Every registered user will have own dashboard for administration, maintaining records and follow up/tracking Dalit/Adivasi atrocity incidents. While following up the case through ATM system, user can send SMS/EMAIL on various stages of the case, mainly on stages of FIR, Spot inspection, Arrest of Accused, Relief/ Compensation and Investigation. The SMS and Email sent will be received by case concern officials simultaneously. This in turn will make an impact on officials and will make them accountable for taking action on that particular stage of the atrocity case.
