After 67 years of Independence, people from a certain section of the society are not allowed to walk down on the public road that crosses upper caste locality.Such a failure of law occurred in Shyamsundarpur village in Kendrapara district of Odisha.
As per the statement of victim named KailashSethy, on dated 11.11.2015 at 9.00 am as he passes through upper caste locality on the public road, in front of high school, the above mentioned accused persons without mentioning any reason suddenly attacked him with fist, slap and kicks and abused him in filthy language and also by insulting his caste. They threatenedhim dire consequences if he walks down on that road in future. They also snatched his mobile phone and some money which he has had with him. As he was severely beaten up by a group of people, he was become senseless and fell down on the road. Some kind hearted people lift him and sent to Kendrapara medical for treatment.
