Loganathan, S/o Mr. Murugan, resident of old Colony, Devampalayam& Post, Pallangarai via, Avinashi Taluk, Tirupur District and residing with his sister Malathi ( 19).

On 07.05.2020, one of the goats of Loganathan had crossed the fencing (KallikaduThottam). Immediately the owner of the place Mr. Moorthy  (Kongu Gounder Caste) and his son Praveen (21) had pulled the goat and threw it and this was noticed by Loganathan’s sister Malathi and she informed her brother.

Loganathan rushed to the place and requested Praveen to give his goat and Praveen told him how come he can speak to him without any respect; he also added that he would kill the goat and put as prey to his dogs and verbally abused him in derogatory and filthy language and took the goat along with him.

Subsequently, Loganathan along with his sister Malathi went to Kallikadu Thottam and met Praveen, his mother Rathinammbal (45) and his grandmother Govindammal (75)  and told them that his goat has unknowingly crossed their fencing and pleaded to give away the goat to them. They also told that this would never happen again and requested to give the goat. But Praveen’s grandmother had verbally abused Loganathan and Malathi in derogatory and filthy language referring to the caste names and told them to fall in their legs and apologize to them. But Loganathan refused and denied to fall in their legs and told that he don’t need the goat and tried to leave the place.

Meanwhile Praveen’s mother Rathinammbal had subjected Loganathan and Malathi to cruel forms of verbal abuse and threw the goat. They both took the injured goat and reached their home. The same day around 11:30 a.m  Mr. Kallimuthu (Arunthathiyar) of the same village came to Loganathan’s house and told them that Moorthy is calling.  Immediately Loganathan, his father Murugan and his sister Malathi went to Kallikadu Thottam and narrated the whole incident. But they did not hear it rather told that Loganathan had spoken against the Gounders (dominant caste people). The same night Mr. Kallimuthu came to Loganathan’s house and threatened murugan stating that Loganathan has spoken against the Gounders and told Murugan to leave the village.

On 08.05.2020, around 8:50 in the morning, around 50 persons (Gounder Caste) including Suthama company Gopal Gounder, Armstrong Company Palanisamy Gounder, Kallikadu Thottam land lord Moorthy Gounder, Praveen, Rathinammbal, Govindammal, Tamil Selvan, Chinnasamy, Maniyaan, Kallimuthu, post man Murugan gathered in Kallikadu Thottam; they had asked Loganathan, his father Murugan,  mother Deivanai, sister Malathi, to apologize in front of Praveen, his mother and grandmother for speaking against the Gounders. But Loganathan refused to fall in their legs. The Gounders agitated on Loganathan’s refusal.

And hence 2 counter case was filed by Praveen & Kallimuthu at Avinashi PS with the FIR No:1124, U/S 294(b),323,506(i),474 IPC R/w section 4 of women Harassment Act on Dated:15-05-2020 and FIR No:1125, U/S 294(b),323,506(ii), IPC Act against Loganathan, Murugan, Malathi and Deivanai

She used to be on Facebook and Tik Tok all the time and whenever a friend request comes from someone, she used to chat with them and even go with a few of them.  While so Babu Rao retired in 2019 and came back.  He was going around offices with regard to fulfilling the formalities for his pension.  On one of these days, when Babu Rao came home, he found one Mr. Sudheer Reddy and Mr.  Bhaskar, were in the house with his wife.  They are her face book friends.  Then Mr. Babu Rao checked her phone and found many Facebook chatting, call records with many people, including obscene chatting and postings.  Thus, Babu Rao got hands on all evidence of her extra-marital relationships.  In that situation, Sudheer Reddy, Bhaskar and Manikeswari pleaded with Babu Rao to excuse them.  They pleaded that Sudheer and Bhaskar have small children and that his wife is carrying and so on and hence excuse them.  Babu Rao yielded to their pleas and let them go with a warning.  But there was not much change in them and they have been meeting and chatting regularly.  They all felt Babu Rao was an obstacle to their affairs and decided to kill him.  On12-06-2019 at about 9.30 pm. when Babu Rao was returning home after visiting offices in connection with his pension, Sudheer Reddy and Bhaskar pounced on him and attacked him.  They fled away when Babu Rao retaliated.  When he reached home, he found it locked and when he rang up to Manikeswari, she said she was in a function somewhere.  Immediately, Mr. Babu Rao approached Sankarapalli police station and complained on Sudheer Reddy and Bhaskar.

Nani Buchaiah - Destroying Ambedkar Flexi

    Details of the Case:

In Proddatur village, Sankarapalli mandal, Ranga Reddy district, the dalit youth and elders wanted to have Ambedkar statue near Panchayat office and they all approached the Sarpanch and submitted a memorandum for permission.  He agreed for the same and fixed to conduct bhumi puja on 07-03-2020.  Though the sarpanch agreed for the proposal as all the Dalits approached him, in heart of hearts he was not interested for erecting a statue of Ambedkar at Panchayat office.  Moreover, the dalit households are only 155 out of a total of 600 households in the village.  As they constitute only 25% the rest of the castes dominate them.  They are not allowed to participate with other castes in celebrating Batukamma festival and they are not allowed to enter the Hanuman temple or other temples.  This being the status of the Dalits, the sarpanch thought that they should not be allowed to erect Ambedkar statue at Panchayat office.  So, he passed on the information to Reddy and B.C. castes of the village about their plans and instigated them to prevent the program.  Dalits as per the plans came to Panchayat office on 07-03-2020 at about 11.30 a.m. for conducting Bhumi Puja.  They placed a flexi of the programme, broke coconuts at the place and were making other preparations for the programme.   Meanwhile, a large gathering of Reddies, B.C.s came to the venue and started objecting to the programme.  They said that Ambedkar is not acceptable to all and they also would erect statues of Sivaji, Vivekananda, Ilamma and others.  In fact, it was the Sarpanch who instigated others to come and create nuisance.  The Sarpanch, also shouted at the Dalits and removed the flexi.  He accused the Dalits that they are creating problems in the village.  He said, ‘Ambedkar is your man and if you want his statue, you erect it in your colony’.   Dalits spoke in a friendly way with Sarpanch and reminded him that he gave permission and now questioning them.  Despite the appeals by Dalits, the sarpanch did not budge and he along with others abused Dalits in filthy language and pushed them away.  The sarpanch himself informed and called the police, who came and dispersed the gathering.  A complaint was given by Dalits, but the case was registered on 12-03-2020.
