Case in Brief:
Vagicherla Pallavi, w/o Srinivasulu, r/o Nagaram Village, Keesara Mandal, was working in a private firm. She fell in love when she was undergoing training in a computer institute with Vagicherla Srinivasa Rao. They got married (inter caste) on 5th June 2002 at Keesaragutta in the presence of their friends and elders. Few days after the marriage they lived at S.R.Nagar. In the meantime Srinivasulu went to Bangalore to attend job purpose and kept her at Working Women’s Hostel and used to send money for house maintenance, etc. After some time he was transferred to Hyderabad and they both lived conjugal life at Nagaram village. Frequently Srinivasulu used to go to his parents and come back. The parents of both don’t know about their marriage. When Srinivasulu’s parents came to know about their marriage, they refused to give the property to Srinivasulu. Further they forced him to marry his maternal uncle’s daughter and they gave him more dowries also. Pallavi was abortioned secretly twice in a private hospital. Mother of Srinivasulu, Ms.Indira, brothers Suresh Babu and Janardhan harassed Pallavi physically and demanded Rs 5,00,000/- as dowry and threatened her to do as she likes and got Srinivasulu married again.
In this helpless stage she registered a case with Kesara PS bearing FIR No- 204/06, dated – 31/07/06 U/s 498 A, 494 of IPC. Latter with the interference of the Women organizations FIR was altered bearing FIR No- 247/06, dated 14/09/06 U/s 3-SC/ST(POA), 504 & 506 of IPC. The accused was arrested and remanded. The case is under Investigation.
