Kalaiya Kumari (13) d/o Sadhu Manjhi is resident of Purwi uta manjhi Tola, P.S Jahanabad in Jahanabad Dist. belong to Mushar community. The victim’s family is daily wage labourers. Purwi uta manjhi Tola is located 1 km away on the east direction of Jahanabad railway station and 2 km away on the north direction of Jahanabad police station. On the two sides of the Tola, the so-called dominant caste people have inhabited.

In this basti (Tola), a garage was run by Ramjiwan Manjhi (40) s/o late chulihar. A woman named Mamta Devi w/o Ram Jeevan, a broker allured Kalaiya Kumari (13) d/o Sadhu Manjhi to provide her money and good food and in the evening hours she used to take Kalaiya along with her to a Garage owner named Ramjiwan Manjhi (40) s/o late Chulihar. Ramjiwan used to sexually exploit her all through the night. This tragic story continued for 6-7 months. This crime came to public notice when she became pregnant.

A criminal case was registered against the rapist and the broker Mamta Devi on 17.02.08, No. 43/08, u/s 376, 120(b) IPC, however the police has not arrested the rapist and the broker. The victims have not received any compensation by the administration. The case is under trial in CJM Jahanabad. 

Ponnuru Mariamma SC Madiga by caste is a resident of Kothareddypalem, Yeduluri Devi Varaprasad resident of the same village used to follow her wherever she used to go from past 2 years and say that he was in love with her. But when she rejected his love, he threatened to commit suicide by consuming poison. Ultimately she too accepted and they both fell in love. He foiled many marriage alliances of Mariamma. In the process they had sexual intimacy and she became pregnant. He forced her for an abortion as he had two unmarried sisters  and promised her that he will   surely marry her. The next day, along with him he brought papaya fruit and some other thing which is anti pregnancy and forced her to eat. When she rejected he beat her and made her eat forcefully. The next day he came to her house and enquired about her health. When she said that she did not get her menstrual period, he brought her abortion tablets at 1:00am in the morning and forcibly made her consume the tablets. Her parents woke up with the sound in the house and asked who was moving in the dark. He escaped quickly from her house. When her parents questioned her, she revealed to them about their love but hided that she was pregnant. The same night her parents approached the boy’s parents and they asked to wait for some time for which her parents beat her and abused her in filthy language. The next day when nobody was at home she hanged herself. The neighbors moved her to the hospital and she was saved. The next day her parents found that the victim is sick as bubbles coming from her mouth. They took her to the hospital and the doctor said that she was pregnant and should be aborted immediately or else she will be in danger. Therefore she was aborted. As the elders ensured Mariamma’s parents didn’t go for a complaint. When the caste elders asked Devi Prasad’s parents, they said it is up to him. Devi Prasad agreed to marry first and latter as is parents threatened to commit suicide he rejected to marry stating that she is elder than him. Then Mariamma’s parents lodged a complaint. The police registered the case and arrested Devi Prasad. 

Case in Brief:

Battla Nageswari D/o Subba Raju, 17 years R/o Buggaletipalli village, CK Dinne mandal was studying senior inter in Sri Vijaya Vani Junior College at Kadapa. She was in love with Koramutla ManiKanta S/o Raghuram, aged 19 years. As their affair was known to their parents it became controversial. To achieve to a compromise they approached a lecturer of CK Dinne. To settle the issue the lecturer took both the lovers to Brahmamgari Matham on 08.06.08 and kept them in the Telugu Ganga guest house. There the lecturer gave sedation to the girl, sent the boy out to the temple and raped the girl. On 10.06.08 when all three were coming back on the bike the Brahmamgari Matham police caught them and handed over them to rural CI of Kadapa. Later a rape case was registered in CK Dinne PS against ManiKanta and he was arrested.

Coimbatore District, Udumalaipettai taluk, Thinnapatti union in Salaiyur village nearly 250 caste hindu families and 150 Arunthathiyar community families and 50 other caste family people also living in this village. On 06.06.2008 there is a celebration in Madurai Veeran temple festital. During that time Mr. Karthikeyan belongs to dalit community went Muthupandi Devar shop to drink a cool drink. That time unfortunately his hand was touched with Kumar (Belongs to Caste Hindu community ) hand. He was derogatory referred and abused in filthy words then he brutally attacked by his hand in many parts of karthikeyan body. He pulled Karthikeyan head and smashed in wall. Following that Kumar parents also brutally attacked Karthikeyan. After that Panchayat president Mr.Murugan was admitted him in government hospital. He lodge the complaint in police station.
