पीड़ित परिवार के सदस्य की हत्या एक सोची समझी साजिश के तहत की गयी जिसमे अभियुक्तों ने व्यवसाय में होने वाली अनबन का बदला लेने के लिये दलित युवक को मौत के घाट उतार दिया I स्व० मिथलेश राम जिनकी हत्या हुयी वो अपनी पत्नी निर्मला देवी, 30 वर्ष  और तीन बच्चों नूतन कुमारी,14 वर्ष, अभय कुमार, 10 वर्ष और निर्भय कुमार ,  8 वर्ष के साथ रहता था I इनके दैनिक रोजगार में इनकी खेती-बाड़ी और इसके अलावा ये लोगों को जमीन खरीद-बिक्री करने के मामले में मदद किया करते थे जिसमे इन्हें छोटी-मोटी रकम कमीशन के तौर पर मिल जाती थी I लेकिन इनके आर्थिक व्यवस्था का मुख्य माध्यम कृषि ही था I अभियुक्त और मिथलेश राम के बीच ज़मीन के मामले को लेकर ही कुछ विवाद चल रहा था और इसी पर बात-चित करने के लिये विनोद ठाकुर ने उन्हें फोन करके करीब 11 बजे दिन बुलाया था I अभियुक्तों ने दिनभर मिथलेश राम को अपने साथ रखा तथा शाम को उसे गोली मारकर उसे मोटर सायकिल के साथ सड़क पर लिटा दिया I इस दौरान अभियुक्तों ने चालाकी से पीठ पर लगी हुयी गोली के जगह रुई और पौलिथिन भरकर उसे अच्छी तरह पट्टी से बांध दिया ताकि ये पूरी घटना एक एक्सीडेंट के रूप में देखी जाये I बाद में मृतक के मोबाईल पर बार-बार फोन आने के पर उसके घर वालों को सुचना दे दी की मिथलेश राम का मोटर सायकिल से एक्सीडेंट हो गया I उसके बाद शव को पुलिस के द्वरा पोस्टमाटम के लिये बेतिया सदर अस्पताल भेज दिया गया था जिसमे डॉक्टर ने मृतक को गोली मारने की बात को उजागर किया I     

Dalit girl named Saranya (name changed) is residing with her parents in M. Podaiyur Village, Thitakudi Taluk, Cuddalore - 606108. Her father is a migrant labourer working in Kerala. On 24.12.2016 Saranya went to public distribution shop for getting rice for cooking as she did not have enough money she went to get the money from her mother who was then working in a mason in agri College, Cuddalore. She got the money from her mother and while returning back 3 dominant caste youth tied Saranya\'s eyes and hands and took her in a bike. They took her to a corn field and they were three in number. One among those men called his two friends Deepak and Prabhu and finally all the five dominant men gang raped Saranya. 

Dominant Castemen Kamalakannan and his brother Ramesh resident of Chinnathadagam Village of Thduioyalur Taluk of Coimbatore district had a dispute on 27.2.2017 night by 8 pm. On seeing their fight Sithan belonging to scheduled caste of the same village came there and tried to solve their dispute. But then he was brutally attacked by those two dominant caste men. In few minutes Pannerselvam came there and he tried to solve their dispute and he was also brutally attacked by them. On hearing the villagers came rushing to the spot and there was a mass atrocity against the Dalits by the dominant caste people of the same village. More than 8 Dalit men and women were brutally attacked by the dominant caste mob.
