माधुरी कुमारी ,ग्राम - राजेपुर नवादा , पोस्ट - राजेपुर नवादा , थाना - पकड़ीदयाल , जिला - पूर्वीचाम्परण ,राज्य - बिहार की अनुसूचित जाति (दुसाध ) सदस्या है . वह गाँव के ही प्रार्थमिक विद्यालय , नवादा दोआना  में प्रधान  शिक्षिका के पद पर कार्यरत है . 9 मार्च 2016 को  वह पूर्वाहन करीब 9.०० बजे अपने विद्यालय पहुंची.  वहां प्रार्थामिकी के सभी अभियुक्त पूर्व से ही खड़े थे . शिक्षिका को देखते ही अभियुक्तगण दुसधीन हरिजन गिरजन कहकर भदी - भदी गांलियां देने लगे . विरोध करने पर उन्हें थप्पड़ ,मुका  , लात से मारlपीट करने लगे . शिक्षिका को अपमानित करने की नियत से उसका बलाउज भी फार दिया . आपराधियों ने उनकी गल्ला दबाकर हत्या भी करना चाहा  . लोगों द्वारा बीच बचाव किये जाने पर मामला शांत हुआ .घटना की सूचना पुलिस को दी गई . वेहोशी की हालत में उस शिक्षिका को प्रार्थमिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र पकड़ीदयाल में इलाज के लिए ले जाया गया . पकड़ीदयाल पुलिस द्वारा उक्त सन्दर्भ में कांड सं० 26/16 के तहत प्रार्थमिकी दर्ज की गई है . DY.SP एवंम  case के IO आपराधियों के मेल में आकर मामले को फाइनल कर दिया है .

घटना का कारन यह है कि नवादा दोआना गाँव भूमिहार बहुल है . पूर्व में उक्त विद्यालय में भूमिहार जाति की कुमारी साधना नामक शिक्षिका जो उक्त गाँव की ही निवासी है प्रधान शिक्षिका के रूप में कार्य करती थी . मधरी कुमारी के पदस्थापन के बाद साधना कुमारी सहायक हो गई जो कुमारी साधना व् भूमिहार बिरादरी के लोगो को नागवार लगाने लगा . भूमिहार बिरादरी के लोगों ने माधुरी कुमारी को विद्यालय से भागने के लिए सजिश्पूर्व्क तंग तबाह करने लगा . यहाँ तक की माधुरी कुमारी प्रधान शिक्षिका थी बावजूद इसके उन्हें कुर्सी पर बैठने नहीं दिया जाता था . मामले का समाधान विभागीय अधिकारीयों द्वारा किया गया . कुमारी साधना को अन्यत्र स्थान्नातरण  कर दिया गया. पर भूमिहार बिरादरी के लोगो को यह वर्दाश्त नहीं हो रहा है कि उनके गाँव में एक दलित महिला प्रधान शिक्षिका रहे .भूमिहार लोग सजिश्पूर्बक  कुमारी माधुरी को वहा से भागने के लिए उक्त घटना को अंजाम दिया गया है .

Pasulunda is a village under Mahanga P.S. in Cuttack district. As a part of the religious and cultural practice, during Dola Purnima the Idols of different Sahis move in procession to different parts of the village and assemble in a big field for final celebration of the function. The practice is called \\\'Melana\\\' and the field is called Melana Padia. In the village meeting it is decided which Idol will start procession at what time and the order of Idols for procession and position in the Melana Padia.

This year on 24.03.2016 the function was celebrated in Pasulunda Village. The dalit sahi Idol was moving in procession as per the earlier decision. At that time a procession of the upper caste Idol came on that road. As per the standard practice the procession which came from behind should have maintained the order and the dalitsahi Idol should have proceeded ahead of the other. But the upper caste people did not stay behind and asked the dalits to give way. The dalits did not give way to the upper caste procession. This enraged the upper castes and some of them abused and threatened the dalits and took another route to the Melana Padia.

Later the 5 members from dalit community were summoned to a caste meeting of upper caste persons from Pasulunda and nearby 7 villages. In the meeting the timing of the Dola Melana procession of Idol of dalitsahi was changed from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. Althouhg only 5 old persons represented dalits in the meeting, they disragreed with the change of time and requested to stick to the old timing of the procession. The upper caste persons verbally abused and threatened to attack the dalits in their houses and forced to sign the village meeting agreement. There was marked tension between the communities and Bijay Kumar Jena lodged complaint in Mahanga P.S. on behalf of the dalits on 30.03.2016.

The complaint by the dalits was not registered by the police. The dalit came to ALVM with the matter. A team from ALVM along with some dalit villagers met the Superintendent of Police, Cuttack (Rural) and after his intervention FIR was registered as Mahanga P.S case No. 0083 on dated 28.04.2016.

Ramachandra Sahoo and his wife Minati Sahoo live in Bharatpur village of Bharatpur GP under Kendrapara Block of Kendrapara district. They belong to Scheduled Caste community and their sub-caste is Kaibarta. They live on the extreme end of the village. Ramachandra purchased three plots near his house from Niladri Sekhar Mohanty and Kuntala Kumari Mohanty vide registered Sale Deed dated 17.10.2015.The accused person belonging  to general caste hail from one family. They have been opposing Ramachandra Sahoo to take physical possession of the newly purchased plots as he is from dalit community. Sri Sahoo took shelter in the court of SDJM, Kendrapara and restriction under 144 of CrPC was imposed on 10.12.2015. Despite the restriction, the accused persons were cutting standing paddy crops from the plot on 1.1.2016. Ramachandra Sahoo rushed to the Police Station to report the illegal act by the accused. Minati was alone at home. The accused persons attacked her, assaulted her, abused in Caste name. Som influential persons of the village motivated them for amicble settlement but later they did not carry it thourgh. So, she had no other option but to submit written complaint to the police. She feels threat to her life.
