Endiyur Government Higher Secondary School, is in Endiyur, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District. In this school dalit students are subject to caste discrimination and atrocity. During 2007, Dalit students Anandraj and Muthu were assaulted by Vanniyar community students. In 2008, Kathiravan belongs to Dalit community was also subject to physical attack by the vanniyar youths belongs to Endiyur. In the month of July Rajadurai 11^th std student and belongs to Vanniyar, sat with the Dalit girl students causing humiliation for the dalit girl students. Hence brothers of the girl students, Prakash and Rajesh also students of the same school, reported this to the Head Master and English teacher. On knowing that Rajdurai is resident of Endiyur, HM hesitated to take action against him. But the Assistant Head Master Nedumaran, after enquiring the incident, suspended Rajdurai for a week. Vanniyar students and the local Vanniyar community people, who could not tolerate this, started teasing the dalit students. On 08/07/09, Vanniyar students namely Rajadurai, Suman, Vijaykanth, Manikandan assaulted dalit student Santhosh. On over hearing the plot to attack the dalit students, one Sekar and Maialahan, reported this to the school head master and complaint about the caste discrimination and commission of atrocities against dalit students.

On 09/07/09, as the dalit students about to enter the school, other students informed that the vanniyar mob is waiting inside the school to attack the dalit students. Then the dalit students was safely escorted inside the school and vanniyar mob was sent out of the school. During the class hours, Vanniyar students Vasanthraja, Govnindaraja, on entering the class room of Anandraj, suddenly started attacking Anandraj and other students. Soon the perpetrators were joined the local vanniyar mob, and all the perpetrators assaulted dalit students with brick stones. Assistant HM Nedumaran was also assaulted by the vanniyars. To rescue the Dalit students from this onslaught, teachers locked them from outside. After the police officials, Tahsildar and RDO arrived and rescued the students. Dalit students and Dalit villagers of Endiyur and Manur staged a protest demonstration to end the atrocity and discrimination against the dalit stuents and the dominant caste hindu vanniyar students and other vanniyar public staged a protest in response to the protest demonstration of the dalits. A peace meeting was convened, to sort out the problem.

Madasu Rammohan Rao, SC Madiga resident of Kristurajapuram, Vijayawada works as a security guard in Narayana School. He has 3 Children. Madasu Mary(20) used to teach Chess to children and earns Rs 2000/-. On 5^th July 2009 she took her grandmother Mariyamma to Lakshmi Clinic in Vijayanagar colony at 7:30PM as she was not well. While her grandmother was being treated in the clinic, Mary went out without informing her grandmother. Even when she did not return to the clinic at 9:00PM her grandmother returned home assuming that she might reach their home. When Rammohan Rao questioned his mother she explained what happened. When the girl did not return home, the parents thought that she would have gone to her friend’s house.

Having come to know a number from which Mary received a phone call before missing, her father dialed to the same number and has come to know that it was Srinivas. The next day residents of Vijayanagar colony informed the police that there is a dead body in the drainage near their houses. It was identified as the body of Mary. A case was registered in Machavaram PS bearing Cr No: 395/2009, U/s 174 of CrPC. 

A. Raghu (23), resident of Kaanimedu village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District, belongs to Dalit Paraiyar community. He is a daily wage labour. On 04/07/09, 3pm while he was sleeping in house, 15 police men from Marakanam Police Station under Inspector Muthukrishnan, came to his house and forcefully dragged him outside his house. Muthukrishnan slapped him repeatedly infront of the crowd. The police men pushed him into the Jeep and 7 of the police went inside his house and ransacked the properties under the pretext of investigation. After destroying the properties, they threw his belongings outside the house. Without explaining any reason for the arrest, they took him to the Marakanam police station. They remanded him from 04/07/09 to 06/07/09 9.45pm. Under the police custody, he was subject to brutal torture by Inspector Ramakrisnan, Bharathi, Selvam, Sheriff and Shankar, forcing him to accept the commission of assault and robbery from a lorry driver of money worth Rs. 125000. Previously he was falsely implicated for the arson of a bus. They handcuffed him and brutally beaten him all over his body, they kicked him with the boot over his face. Since the relatives and VCK political party members exerted pressure on the police perpetrators, they released him on 06/07/09 around 9.45 pm. Raghu filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police and the Director General of Police, regarding this police atrocity, seeking severe action against the erred police men. But till date no action was initiated against the Inspector Ramakrisnan, Bharathi, Selvam, Sheriff and Shankar all belongs to Marakanam PS, who brutally tortured Raghu falsely implicating for a robbery case.

Hepsiba (20) Madiga is the resident of Wynchpet, Vijayawada. She is studying B.Tech final year at Nova Engineering College. She used to go by auto daily and return to home by 5:30pm in the evening. Her phone was switched off and they have come to know that she has not gone to college on that day. One of her friends said that Hepsiba has informed that she met with an accident and was afraid to say the same to her parents. Later her brother enquired at the Idea Cellular and got the data. As per the data he called to the last number and has come to know that the phone was Lashmi’s. Her husband Ramalinga Reddy is an auto driver and they reside at Lambadipet, Chitti nagar, Vijayawada. They launched a complaint in the II town police station of Vijayawada. The FIR was registered on 4^th July bearing No: 233/09. The police have investigated and found the dead body of Hepsiba and arrested the accused Ramalinga Reddy. Ramalinga Reddy has admitted that he has murdered Hepsiba with the support of his wife and threw her body in the tank near Krishnayyapalem. 

P. Solaisamy (52), is the Panchayat Preident of Ayanrasapatti, Pudur Union, Ettayapuram Taluk, Thoothukudi District. He belongs to dalit Paraiyar community. Former panchayat president Mumurthy, belongs to dominant caste hindu Nayakkar community, indulged in corrupt pracises during his tenure. He usurped the funds given for the infrastructure development activities. As Solaisamy disclosed this corruptions to the district administration and Mumurthy was served notice regarding this. Since then  Mumurthy started intimidating Solaisamy by inducing others to file false charges against him. He prevented to perform his duties, through various forms of intimidations. Sivasubramanian Nadar, who supported Solaisamy asked for favourtism towards sanctioning loan and also in sand mining. As Solaisamy declined to support in his ventures, Sivasubramanian tried on his own and get caught. Hence as an act of revenge, he induced others to make false allegations against him. On one occasion Sivasubramanian himself rolled on the road and inflicted injury to himself and accused Solaisamy regarding this. Solaisamy and his son were arrested in this regard and released on bail. As the ward members Subbulakshmi, Chellamariappan, Tharmaraj and Sripriya, were absent for morethan three panchayat meeting, Solaisamy using section 204(1) of Panchayat President Act 1994, he submitted a letter to the district Magistrate seeking the removal of the above mentioned four ward members. Thus all the dominance caste hindu people, who were not able to tolerate the assertion of a Dalit, induced Dalits and caste hindus to file false cases against him accusing of money laundry.

Due to this apprehension over a dalit panchayat presidentship, caste hindus like Mumurthy Nayakkar, Sivasubramanian Nadar, in association with other corrupt people, filed unnumber of false cases and making him to run from pillar to post. By doing so the perpetrators preventing him from his duty. District Administration and the concerned Adi Dravidar welfare board and panchayat department failed to take action against the perpetrators who are preventing Solaisamy from performing his duty.
