Lalita Kumari (7) d/o Rajkumar Ram (SC Chamar), resident of Haspuradi village comes under the jurisdiction of Harpura Police station in Aurangabad District. On 28-03-08 she had taken her goats for tending behind Jasim Ansari’s house, who belongs to non Dalit from the same village. He lured her inside his house with the promise of mehendi leaves and sweetmeats.
Lalita went inside Jasim Ansari’s House where he gave her a few mehandi leaves and sweets and he then raped her. To silence her screams he threatened to kill her by throwing her in the well near his house. After raping her he let her go and Laita came home in a frightenend state. Due to this fear, she did not tell anyone in her family about the incident. The next day she told two of her friends what had happened and through them Lalita’s family members came to know about the incident. Then Lalita’s mother Rani Devi took her to the hospital for examination there it was found that she was raped. After this examination Rani Devi informed to her husband Raj kumar about the incident.
On 30-03-08 Then Rajkumar Ram went to the Police Station to file F.I.R. upon relating the incident to the officer in charge, the officer did not file the FIR and promised to arrest the accused at 6 pm that day.On 30-03-08, Jasim Ansari was arrested but was released the next day. Rajkumar went to the police station to determine why the accused had been released and to file F.I.R. but the officer in charge refused on both counts. The family then went straight to the S.P. who gave the order that an F.I.R. must be registered.
On 4-04-08 only the F.I.R. was registered u/s. 376 of the I.P.C and 3(1) (xi) of the SC/ST (PoA) Act, 1989. Sofar no compensation has been given to the victim and charge sheet is also not yet filed. The accused has still not been arrested and no police protection has been provided to the family.
Mr. Murugesan belongs to dalit Community, reside at Sevour, Avinasi Taluk, Coimbatore District. She working as a agricultural worker and Goat rearing in his village. On 23.03.2008 his goats were went to nearest agricultural land which was owned by Caste hindu. Since he was brutally attacked and derogatory referred and abused by caste name and filthy words. Hence Mr.Murugesan lodged complaint in Sevour police station. Following that they compromised with accused those who attacked him.
Ejendrakumar belongs to dalit community, reside at Rajangapuram village, Ambasamuthiram Taluk, Erode District. He was working as a daily laborer. He living with his wife and his son Mr.Subash in Rajangapuram. Mr.Subash is studying 5th standard in Gnanamaravar Middle school in Govindhaper village.
On 21.03.2008 Mr.Subash and his friend Mr.Vijai were asked permission from his class teacher to go to toilet in outside. Both were gone outside to Kulathakarai which was located near to school. While Sanmugaiya Devar (belongs to caste Hindu community) crossing the kulakarai, they were toileting near kulakars. He was shocked because they were toileting. Since he abused by filthy words and derogatory referred by caste name. Following that he was attacked them by using hand and they were forced to clean human excreta by hand. They were brutally attacked by Sanmugaiya Devar. Since his father Enendrakumar lodged a complaint against Sanmugiya devar in Alvarkurichy police station. Following that police arrested the accused and remanded in jail. This case was pending trail in Tirunelveli sessions court.
Case in Brief:
Injeti Rajamani, W/o Injeti John Jacob are living in their own house in Ambajipeta. Jacob is a private electrician. Pulidindi Tandava Krishna, working as Fireman at Ambajipeta Fire Station promised that he would secure a job for Jacob as an electrician in National Panasonic Company. He demanded Rs. 70, 000/- saying that Visa to Kuwait is ready for Jacob. As they could not afford that amount, they said that they want to drop. But Krishna encouraged them to mortgage the land documents that were given as dowry to Jacob’s sister. Finally Krishna succeeded in mortgaging their land documents (70 cents) for Rs. 40, 000/- with an interest @ Rs. 900/- per month.
When Rajamani and Jacob asked for Visa he took the amount saying that being a government employee he would not cheat them. As he did not come to them again, they went to his work place. They were informed that Krishna is under suspension. They enquired his wife but in vain. Shocked by the incident, Jacob’s father expired due to heart-attack. Rajamani approached the village elders, police but in vain. The mortgage amount reached to Rs. 99,000/-. Rajamani and her family attempted suicide unable to bear the financial problems. Krishna returned Rs. 20, 000/- due to pressure from police.
Represented Collector and Collector ordered to the RDO for immediate enquiry and necessary action. Case was registered.
